At the recent consortium meeting for the B2-InF project, a wave of optimism and inspiration flowed among attendees, reflecting upon the milestones achieved and results obtained from our pioneering research in the field of Medically Assisted Reproduction Technologies.

The B2-InF project, stands at the forefront of understanding societal perceptions of ART, especially among the younger generation. As ART rapidly grows within the European health industry, the project embodies the principle of society’s voice in this field, bringing the industry closer to societal needs and expectations.

Significant headway has been made in the project’s twin objectives:

  • Gathering and analyzing crucial social scientific data related to ART perceptions within stage 1 of the project with extensive field work, working with young population in the 8 sample countries chosen to carry out our work.
  • Crafting comprehensive guidelines for ART clinics and industry stakeholders, including the government, to ensure a seamless alignment with societal views, expectations, and concerns, resulting in International and National Guidelines and Policy Briefs.

However, as with any progressive initiative, open questions remain. Key among them: How will ART evolve as societal views shift? How can clinics better address ethnic diversity? How can Fertility Education be integrated in scholastic education?

These questions, and many more, hopefully will pave the way for groundbreaking research in the field, ensuring that the future of ART remains bright, inclusive, and informed.
