The International Federation of Fertility Societies’ (IFFS) World Congress, a flagship event in the global fertility sector, took place between September 10 and September 13, 2023, at the prestigious Megaron Athens International Conference Centre in Athens, Greece. For those in attendance, the event provided an exceptional platform to delve into the advancements of reproductive health, insights into global access to fertility care, reproductive rights, and importantly, the patient perspective.
Among the esteemed speakers, Francisco Güell , our diligent project coordinator, represented the B2-InF project.
The IFFS World Congress’ agenda was exhaustive. It covered an array of topics like innovations in male and female infertility, Medically Assisted Reproductive Technology (MAR), clinical embryology, reproductive genetics, and so forth. The emphasis was not just on providing medical insights but also engaging discussions that included the patient’s viewpoint.
During his presentation, Prof. Güell, showcased our pioneering research to an audience of experts. The B2-InF project, which encapsulates our dedication and years of rigorous research, addresses critical gaps in the infertility care system. By presenting our findings, Fran emphasized the key recommendations both from international and national guidelines, the final results of our project, meant to provide concrete and actionable improvements to this industry.
